How do I lose weight rather then gain weight when exercising?2

Every time I exercise I gain muscle weight but I want to lose 10 lbs. I’m running a 5k in a month and I need to start running to prepare. I exercise now almost every day and do sit ups to and abs slide to flatten my stomach. Normally I use the gazelle or I ride my bike for exercise. How do I lose weight rather than gain? Thanks for your help.

More importantly is are you losing inches? Muscle weighs more then fat so you could be more slender and look fitter even if your weight has not changed or gone up slightly. Also losing weight is decreasing calories and increasing exercise, If you have not changed your eating habits an increase in exercise will not lower your weight in the way that you want.

I need to know how to lose weight without looking I am dieting or anything. My mom won’t let me lose any weight but I think I need to lose some weight. The thing is I don’t want her to know I am dieting, so what is a good way to diet without her noting it?

Should I get rid of these weight loss supplements?3

I have Triple Strength Fish Oil, Mega T Green Tea with Acai Berry and Hoodia extract pills, I also have over the counter Magnesium, Reservatrol diet pills, and Chromium Picolinate pills.

Someone told me that it’s hard to burn fat because the liver is trying to get rid of all the weight loss medications, workout supplements…so I thought about it and took what was said on this youtube video into consideration.

Should I get rid of these pills or keep them?

That’s a lot of supplements, but nothing bad for you in that mix. The fish oil, green tea and magnesium have positive health benefits beyond weight loss. I’d be suspicious of the diet pills.

I’m 14 years old 5’1” and 145 pounds. I’m trying to find ways to lose weight being a vegetarian. Almost everything I look at ( what your supposed to eat, recipes etc.) says to eat meat/fish at least once a day for protein to help you lose weight. Can someone please give me things to eat everyday being a vegetarian and exercises to do to help me lose weight?

How can I lose weight on my waistline and stomach and keep the weight on my hips and butt?4

I am relatively thick. Decent size butt hips thighs very shapely. I want to make maintain my waistline and possibly make it smaller but when i lose weight I tend to lose it all over. How can I lose the weight on top and keep the weight below and possibly add more below with out my top half getting big as well?

Well, it doesn’t really work that way. Fat is a funny thing; you never lose it from where you want to right away.

To maintain your shapely figure I would suggest squats, lunges, and possibly deadlifts. Those will train your legs, butt, and back, and will keep your figure without sacrificing too much shapely-ness.

For your upper body, utilizing either body weight exercises (push-ups, pull-ups, etc), or using lighter weights at higher reps will help tone you up with out getting you all big and muscular.

Add in a cardio routine (that should be done often, or whenever you go to the gym/do the workout) and you’ll be all set. Assuming you have a decent diet, of course. eating junk food all day will do nothing for your figure.
